How skill ratings work
- Proven in bullets — skill appears in an achievement bullet (not a tech dump)
- In role headers — mentioned in a job title/header only
- Tech list / skills list only — listed in a stack line or skills section without an achievement
This is evidence strength, not “expert / intermediate / beginner.” Listing a skill without proof is a common weak pattern in our corpus.
How to read the bands
- Great — strong action + credible impact or ownership signals
- OK — some substance, but thin on metrics or depth
- Weak — duty-style or vague lines that rarely help in a tailored one-pager
Scores are heuristic and JD-independent. They help prioritize rewrites; they do not predict interviews or replace human review. This page is a research companion, not a separate ATS checker.
